Chevron Pillow

So excited to completed another project ! I've been wanting to make a pillow with the chevron pattern painted on it.  As you can see (and as my 15 year old sweetly pointed out) it's not perfect, but that's what makes handmade so special 😀.

Here are some of the pictures of the work in progress:

Summer Time Fun!

Summer school officially ended last week, and my month long crafting session can now begin!

I have tons of projects I have been wanting to do.  I'll post a few pictures of the ones I've done the past couple of days.  I will post a tutorial for the burlap cross soon.  It is my favorite project so far !!

I hope your summer is full of fun and crafting :)

Chocolate Raspberry Delight!!!

I made these cupcakes for a family friend who was turning 100 years old!  What an incredible blessing to have someone in your life that has seen our world go through so many amazing changes.

These cupcakes were absolutely delicious!!!  The cupcakes are a butter chocolate and the icing is a raspberry buttercream!  Lip smacking delicious!!!

The decorations are white chocolate and sprinkled with edible glitter :)

Spring Break Mania!!

I have enjoyed Spring Break so much!  I had a great time spending time with my amazing 15 year old; she is so much fun to be around.  I also got to spend time crafting...which was MUCH need stress release.

Here is the first project:  I decided to drag out the sewing machine after a friend of mine showed me a very simple way to make baby burb cloths.

Project #2 - I just love these new wreaths made out of the deco mesh.  I made this spring themed wreath for my classroom door.

Project #3 -  I love these mailboxes you can get in the $1 bin at Target.  That along with a $1 candlestick make the cutest gifts.

Project #4 - Altered Picture Frames - I love, love the wooden picture frames from Michaels and Hobby Lobby.  They are so fun to decorate.

All in all is was a great spring break!!!  Got to craft, have movie marathons with my family, and sleep late!!

More Cake Pops

Cake pops in decorated pots and coffee mugs made great Christmas gifts this year!

Decorated Plates

Saw the idea on Pinterest to decorate dollar store plates using Sharpies and decided to try it!  I LOVE IT!!!  I did learn a couple of lessons....do not use cheap permanent markers (the colors distorted) and oven temp must be 350 for 30 minutes.  Made homemade cheeseballs and packaged them on top of the decorated plates and gave them as Christmas gifts...they were a hit!   Cheap, Easy, and Cute --- my idea of perfection :)

Christmas Wreaths

I have had a very product crafting month!  Now, admittedly I've missed many nights of sleep, but it's been worth it.  My mom lives close to me now so we've had a great time.  So we decided to try our hand at making these cute wreaths I've been seeing since before Halloween.  My mom is the guru of bow making so it helped alot!  Here are a couple we made.

Winter Wonder Land Cake Pops

I have had so much fun getting into making cake pops.  I made this Winter Wonder Land for the cookie exchange at my church.  These are white chocolate mint flavored cake pops.  They were absolutely delicious!  I found some incredible molds to help making the cake pops easier and quicker.

I can't believe I haven't posted since May.  I have got to get better at this :)  I have some other Christmas projects to post soon.  My mom and dad live right next to us now so Mom and I have had so much fun creating for the holidays.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas Season!!!!

Wedding Gifts - Redneck Wine Goblets

I have loved these Redneck Wine Goblets since I first saw them.  Talk about a cute, easy gift.  I took a generic mason jar (no brand name) and glued it on top of a $1 candlestick using E6000.  I then made a drawstring bag to hold the pair of goblets; my friend is giving them as bridesmaids' gifts at her wedding.  Another cute addition could be an etched monogram or design.

Bridesmaids' Gifts

I have had such a great time making these gifts for my friend.  I took $1.99 flip flops and added a feather boa and rosettes.  Inside each flower I put a rhinestone to add bling.   I stamped a white paper sack with gray and yellow (wedding colors) and added glitter glue to add sparkle.  Cute, easy, inexpensive gift.

It's Easter Time!!!

I saw this cute little bunny punch art on Pinterest and had to make it.  I decided not to put it on a card but rather on a gift sack...it turned out so cute!!!  Also I love the little "sour cream" containers.  It definitely makes an adorable carrot (which I also saw on Pinterest).

BUNNY EASTER BAG

This bunny made from punches is absolutely the cutest! After second thought, the only thing I would do differently is ink the edges of the bunny in an off white or caramel color to give it more contrast.  To make this little bunny you will need the large and small oval punches, 1" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch.

"SOUR CREAM" CARROT

I used the paper crimper to give texture to the "leaves" of the carrot.  I also stamped the background of the orange of the carrot to give it visual appeal.

Bunny Candy Bag

This cute little Easter Bunny will be hoppin' your way very soon.  He is made from the Top Note die, oval punches, circle punches, and scallop circle punch.  I created a dimensional look by adding flocking to the tail and making the carrot out of stacking ovals and then adding glitter glue.  The cellophane bag is from Michaels.
